One day, our Lead Pastor, Sarah R. Gautier, wandered through the Boston Public Market. She stumbled upon beautifully crafted stone slabs for cooking at American Stonecraft. She wondered and asked:
“What’s the story of these stones?”
The young man working began to tell her there’s enough stones underneath the ground in New England to stack on top of each other that you could reach the moon. Every year, stones resurface from deep underneath the ground and they are barriers for farmers to plant and grow crops.
He told her: “We take these barriers and turn them into benefits, so they can be used again.”
Deep underneath the ground is a harvest of stones every year as the soil freezes, then thaws.
Isn’t this what happens when we come alive in Christ and we are transformed into new creations?
We are a spiritual house where everyone comes alive in Christ.
We exist to call others to come alive.
