Why Eastie?

We all wander.

Some of us are forced to wander - exiled from our homes, from our people, from our familiesPushed away, forced out, fighting to stay - vagabonds scattered because of broken systems and systemic sins

We are vagabonds of all kinds searching for hope and home, for belonging, for family, for wholeness, for purpose, for life.

 

Jesus was a wanderer.

He was rejected by the people and forced outside of the city, to hang on a cross. 

Yet, Jesus was chosen and precious to God. The cornerstone, the living stone, the foundation of God’s family. 

 

Though you may be a rejected vagabond.

Just like Jesus, you are chosen.

You are chosen to come alive.
